When I came in, I met some other some other individuals who appeared to be happy. That was mind blowing to me that they were sober and happy and the same in the same setting. And I’m here today to tell you that that is something that’s possible here at Renaissance Ranch. And what was such powerful words, finding help with support and a brotherhood Tyson Dixon from Renaissance ranches joining us.
He is the owner along with Colton Morgan. And I’m so appreciate you guys coming and chatting with me today about such an important thing that so many people are going. Yeah, for sure. No, thank you for having us. We’re grateful to be. No, we appreciate it. Um, Renaissance Ranch is effective for a lot of people, but it’s especially effective for men.
Yeah. Why is that Tyson? Uh, well, um, being in recovery, myself, going through a program that had men and women, um, years passed and went into Renaissance ranch 12 and a half years ago. Um, just lowest of lows. No hope. Uh, At a real bottom and being in an environment with all men was very healthy and very conducive to a complete change of life, finding new relationships, um, learning to become vulnerable and having men understand me, um, walk me through my weaknesses and my character defects, but then showing me a whole new way to live.
Hm. Like my, my best friend that was Russ, that was on earlier. That was he’s a counselor with us, also went through the ranch and, uh, but, but being able to, to be happy and enjoy life. Um, without drugs and alcohol or without those things that the world tells us where we’re happiness and fulfillment come from and having men making healthy, healthy decisions, being good men, um, having fun together, helping each other, be fathers and, and, and husbands it’s, a blessing to be surrounded by that male influence, I think.
Um, and to have those examples and the brotherhood, I think that you guys talk so much about Colton. This is something you’ve experienced as well. Is that right? I, uh, came into the ranch just over a year ago and I’ve spent every single day there since, um, there’s something that I found there where these men were able to teach me how to be a husband again, and how to be a father.
And just kind of love me through all the pain that I was going through. Um, and almost pretty much carried me through my first few months of being with them. Um, and I don’t feel like I’ll ever be able to leave, um, or be able to pay that back. So a big part of it is, is now being of service to those guys who were in my spot.
Um, and I’ve been there every day for the last year plus. Congratulations. Can I just say I have friends, I know people in my close circles, who’ve been through the recovery process and it is no easy thing. It’s not for the faint of heart, but hope is possible. Can you just explain Colton what it’s like when you’re coming into a situation like this, you know, you need help and maybe it’s overwhelming.
What is that like as you step into this for the first time to try to take that step. Pretty scary. Um, having the willingness to take quite a few suggestions, A big piece of it is just understanding that, um, that if I knew what was best for me, I probably would’ve done it a long time ago. Um, and so coming into a place where, uh, I’m fully teachable and fully willing to.
Um, accept guidance in my life asking a ton of questions, but being absolutely paralyzed with fear, not knowing if I’m in a. Or be able to stay sober, have my family back or anything you say that, but having the fear, but then taking the step anyway. Yeah, I think that’s the definition of courage. And I think that’s what so many people out there maybe watching today are thinking, I know I need the help.
I want to do this. I’m scared out of my mind, but how, how do we do this? And that’s what Renaissance Ranch is here to help you do. Um, Tyson. What’s your, what’s your number one message to people out there watching. That recovery is possible and it’s very, it’s very real. And that a change of heart in, in maintaining that change, um, is very possible and we’re doing it.
The ranch celebrates 20 years of, of being around and, uh this year, And we’ve got thousands of men that, that are a Testament to the effectiveness of, um, I have goosebumps, I have goosebumps. It’s so amazing what you’re doing, and I appreciate you both coming and being vulnerable and sharing your story. But I think that is the definition of recovery when you can then help other people.
And there is hope out there, everyone. So we will link you to all the information, Renaissanceranch.net, or call 8 0 1 5 7 to heal, um, all the information right there on your screen. And we’ll be right back. Okay.
