All of us at Renaissance Ranch want to wish each of you a Happy Thanksgiving! We are so grateful for the opportunity we have to help those who struggle with the disease of addiction. At this time, we recognize the power of gratitude in our lives. A grateful heart reflects humility and a lack of pride – both characteristics that are vital in the recovery process. Living a life of gratitude can truly be tied to Step 12. To fully embrace and live Step 12, we must have a grateful heart.
Elder Dallin H. Oaks said:
“…When we give thanks in all things, we see hardships and adversities in the context of the purpose of life. We are sent here to be tested. There must be opposition in all things. We are meant to learn and grow through that opposition, through meeting our challenges, and through teaching others to do the same…”
