Life Renewed
It’s officially spring again. With its welcoming warm temperatures, spring also brings a renewal of life and natural beauty. This is a good time for us to feel the warmth of life renewed in recovery. The cold dark days of our addictions are now behind us and we look forward to this season hope regained. This is also the season where we turn our thoughts to the resurrection of Christ. He who has felt our pain; He who rose from the dead on the third day; He who overcame death. He lives that we too may live. As we reflect on these things during this Easter season we are reminded that, by the Grace of God, our lives now have a higher sense of purpose. We have come to believe that we can rely upon Him to guide us through. We’re learning how to “let go, and let God.” And through this process of letting go, we gain that new freedom and new happiness spoken of in the AA promises.
Enjoy Life
Yes, this is a great time of year indeed. Get outside and breathe life in. Enjoy the warmth and weather. Create memories and share experiences with friends both old and new. Discover how great life really is when we finally accepted that we were powerless over our addictions, and our lives had become unmanageable. There is a solution and we know it now! One day at a time, we learn, grow and become who we are, knew we were and always wanted to be.
Let’s take time this season to share this message to those still in the dark, cold days of their disease. Let the “We” in this program help the individual who longs for the warmth of a new season, find it. We can give back what was so freely given to us and help the Creator help those in need.
